In the Spokane area ?!?

Hi everyone – nothing overly crafty today ( lost my camera and misplaced my sister’s camera, because I’m AWESOME like that) but once I do find them, BAM the posting will start again i promise.

I have started to teach Cricut basics and Advance cricut classes at work. Next saturday is my first class. If your in the Area and want to come,  email me and i can get you registered.

The class is from 4-6pm on the 25th.  $20 for the class and Hobby Lobby does NOT take any fees for using their classroom, Which is AWESOME!!! There will be a make and take project. Totally not sure what that is going to be yet. I have no idea what cartridges people will bring yet.

Simple Vinyl project.

Katie started daycare last week and everything has to be labeled. I found this cute patterned wipe container. I didn’t want to just write on it so I got out the cricut and vinyl and cut her name out. I used the cindy lou cartridge and my gypsy.

Wow – i haven’t updated in forever.  1st off , how do you like my new layout? Cute huh?!? I Managed to get 3 set of cards done and they were sent to the host late. I feel terrible, I have NEVER been late on a swap before. Betty I’m sorry!!! I managed to hurt my back a few saturdays ago and i have been laid out with my heating pad (have you ever been stuck to a heating pad in 90 degree weather yuck!!!) The MRI came back pretty positive. Only a small bugle in the L4 disc (i think thats the correct terms) and that physical therapy should be enough to fix it. NO SURGERY!!! YIPPEEE!

Here are the cards for Betty’s cute and adorable cards on SCS. I tried out many new things on these cards.

Card #1 – I believe she is a CC design. I  decided to color like a ladybug, but i think she is really butterfly or something. I received her in a swap, so i don’t know much about her.

I colored her in a mixture of Copic marker (Skin only) Tim Holtz alcohol ink markers and sharpies. I added some crystal stickles to her wings (why in the world do they take so long to dry) Black buttons and red embroidery thread.

Blond version
Brunette version – Colored with colored pencils (crayola and Martha Stewart) blended with Goo Gone.

Card #2

Cute Fairy princess from My cute stamps. I colored her with Martha Stewart colored pencils. The pencils blend like butter, but the colors get all washed out ( plus they have super dumb names)  its hard to see in this picture but i used my homemade glimmer mist. Ok lets be real here I used  ALOT of homemade glimmer mist 🙂 I used tulle instead of ribbon. I had to pop-dot the button over the knot.

This is the inside. I found these cute little brads at micheals last winter. I thought they were cute and never had the right project for them …. Ding fairy princess! Prefect!
Card #3

I colored these mostly with Tim holtz markers and sharpies ( maybe? I actually can’t remember now) The Image is from Rachael Anne Miller…. super cute.

I can’t remember where the crochet flower came from. The blingy brad middle came from a swap (thanks Beth)

that’s all the creative juices i have going on right now. I have more news on the job front ( i have yudu and a cricut cake demo this weekend) AND i got hired on at the new Hobby Lobby that is opening in our area next month. I will be doing the book keeping with the opportunity to teach cricut classes. I’m so excited about that!

Atc’s and some Vinyl…..

I have been soooo busy and soooo uncreative this summer.

We have done birthday par-tays
 and played in the park
and just enjoyed the splash pads and sunshine!
On to the little bits of crafts that i have actually gotten done. Here are the July’s ATC’s for a group in Portland.  The theme was Summer. So i used the scuba Changito and then a baggie full of light blue hair gel. I used my cricut to cut out a frame to glue around it in case of a explosion during transit
My Mom is on oxygen and she is by law suppose to have a “Oxygen in use, no smoking”. She use to have such a sign …. but i think the dog ate it, along with everything else that is leave in the yard or on the front porch. So i got out my cricut and tried cutting vinyl. I must say it was a BUCKET load easier then i thought it was. The secret is transfer tape. (Which I forgot had had to make a trip back to walmart to buy some)
The font is from one of the older cartridges- Doodletype and the flourish and bird is from home decor ( or home accents i always get the 2 mixed up)

I’m still alive..I promise!  I’m pretty sure that the heat is sucking my creativity DRY!!! I just want to be outside playing in the sunshine! There are exciting/ crafty things coming! I have a few swaps that are due shortly so of course their will be pictures. I have a new order of Tim Holtz of alcohol inks coming and my goal is to use learn to use them for coloring. Plus I have gotten a new monkey to play with ….

Sooo recap – not dead, blame the sunshine!

Simple thank you !~

I love changito …. i mean he makes me smile every time I see his little monkey face!!

I needed a thank you card for my grandmother. She sent Katie a birthday present and in our family if your thank you card isn’t received quickly your pretty much disowned!

It was a really a quick, easy card! I colored with my trusty crayola colored pencils and blended with goo gone. I inked the edges, added a few yellow skittles and presto its done. I even used all scraps.
